John Banks is a Professor and Senior Research Fellow at The University of Chester. He has a formal educational background in clinical chemistry, agriculture and applied zoology, animal nutrition and physiology and biochemistry. He has worked in all these areas plus the development of rapid assays, the study of mycology and mycotoxins and other quality parameters in food and feed. These were in conjunction with large national and international projects. Currently he is involved in business engagement and knowledge transfer plus the preparation and delivery of research funding from various donors.
