Lee Cronin

Lee Cronin is known as one of the most innovative and original thinkers in the world. He is trying to build life from scratch in his laboratory, redefine synthetic biology as well as looking at programmable matter, biology, complex chemistry, and medicine . In 2011 he invented the concept of 3D printing of chemistry (published in Nature Chemistry and reported in Nature, Science and many media outlets). He extended this concept to the idea of 'downloadable drugs' and the printing of medicine . Lee Cronin's lab has over 50 members, £25M+ of research funding, he has published over 280 papers, given over 250 professional talks.
